3 Benefits to using Hashtags

Gain Followers  - You can gain thousands of followers in a few days when you have great hashtags. The thing you must remember is to properly manage conversations to provide relevant information to keep discussion on topic.  I created a hashtag (#secontentnetwork) on Twitter for my site I started. Since you are reading this post then I recommend that you check out Syndication Express since it is a blog syndication community for bloggers and article writers.


Improve Reputation - Trending topics encourages others to follow your future conversations and it will help you to build your reputation with your followers.



Get Information - You can find related conversations and gain more interested followers when you have good hashtags. Also you can monitor the impact and use of your hashtag. I believe this is a very good thing especially if there is activity such as retweets and conversations. This is a social signal which Google uses for indexing and ranking your links.


When you are ready to create a hashtag for Twitter or any other social site. I have a few tips to share with you. A hashtag is only effective if people want to use it.

Make Hashtags Concise

Your hashtag must not be too long.  If it's too long it won't get used.

Make Hashtags Conversational

If it's too common your post will disappear.

Make Hashtags Unique

This is most important of all and I don't have to elaborate on this one. BE ORIGINAL AND MAKE SURE IT BRANDS YOU!

Performance Indicators

Reposts/Shares - You can see how many people have retweeted/shared your post.

Replies - People who are following the conversation and adding to it. This is a social signal as well.

Link Visits - If there is a link in your post, you can see how many people have followed your link.

Hashtag Volume -  How many times does the hashtag occur. You can see the hashtag feed
(put into the Twitter search engine) of people who are using the hashtags that
will give you exposure in your niche, plus online branding and they will most
likely follow you. Your network of followers will grow daily when you follow
what I am sharing with you.

Tracking Methods

Hashtags Apps - Allows you to track hashtags use within social media sites and some even breaks down the demographics.

Social Analytics Tool - They allow you to graph overall performance for a period of time.

Actual Responses - You can follow the conversation to see what people are saying or participate to direct the conversation to show good will. You can reply or retweet it and Twitter will send them a notification. This is a social signal too for the search engines. Many times I have gained new followers by doing this.

Search Engines - Some social media sites let you search by hashtag to see if you have positive results. You can type into Google the hashtag I created for my site Syndication Express (#secontentnetwork) and see the results that are indexed in Google plus other search engines. Also you can use the Twitter search engine and see the blog content that's coming from my site. This means exposure and traffic for people that are using the hashtag I created for my site for bloggers and article writers.

Twitter - Marketing Your Business Using Hashtags

Are YOU on Twitter? If not then you must get an account after reading this post. The information I'm about to share will help you to get massive exposure and traffic using Twitter.

Today I will be talking about the Twitter hashtag. Those who are not familiar with it, I am going to tell you what it is.

The hashtag is power and was first used on Twitter. Now other social media sites are beginning to use it. It will allow you to search for a targeted market or group of people in real time. Keep reading and learn more about it.

The hashtag is more commonly known as the pound sign, it was also short for the word number. It serves two purposes  in Twitter. First it signifies a group of people who have come together on the same subject and second, its used to use the Twitter search engine to find topics of more specific interest.

An example of how I use it for my content syndication network for bloggers and article writers. I created a hashtag so that site members can use Twitter search by typing the hashtag I created in the search engine and they can see all the blog post that members have made on the site.  They can click the link and read the post from the site, leave comment/reply and retweet it to their followers. This is a great way to give that post more exposure, social signal and traffic as well.

Since our community is a group of bloggers and article writers, we all take time to read, comment and share blog post to the various social and bookmarking sites for SEO purposes.

Now let's say you want to search for people who are bloggers, so you would type in
(#bloggers or #blog) and your search results will give you people who have used this keyword in their tweet in real time. This is a way to meet other bloggers and interact with them. You can follow them or retweet their tweet. They will get an email that you retweeted their tweet, now they will follow you back. You can now send them an email to communicate and get to know them, this is relationship building and it is critical to do this especially if you are marketing a product or service using your blog. 

Where should you place your hashtag? Using it at the start of the message can allow the message to update a whole group of people in real time. You can put it in the middle or the end of the message and you should never use no more than three hashtags in a message because it will be seen as spam. I have been noticing that some people are using hashtags in the description of their profile, it serves no purpose because it shows people that you don't know how to use the hashtag.

In closing I will share one more thing you should know about hashtags and this is very important. Your content should be characterized meaning that it should be used before a keyword or phrase on Twitter. An example is (#networkmarketing or #network #marketing) your message might look like this "How to generate #networkmarketing leads!" or your message might say "#network #marketing lead generation training."  You can categorize specific tweets and they are easy to find in Twitter search. Your tweeted message will be in the category of network marketing and for the hashtag or keyword in real time. A warning you should know about, hashtags will not be found in private search.

Blog Syndication - Bufferapp Will Make Your Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin Life Easier

Good day everyone, I have some fantastic news to share with you.

I have discovered a site called Bufferapp that will allow you to send tweets, share content on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin while you are away from your computer or sleeping.  You choose how you want to use this great tool.

Yeah, yeah I know what you are thinking, you have seen this before. Bufferapp is different and the reason why I say that is because it's not like any of those other applications that's out.

I am going to share how I use it.

As always I am going to keep it real and let you know that the only reason you want to do this is, so that you can spend your time getting to know your new Twitter followers, Facebook and Linkedin friends.

This is what will happen when you are sharing content that has value for your reader.

You can schedule to tweet content every two to three hours. Now the best practice is to tweet six to eight time per day.  You want to tweet your content about 30 percent of the time and 70 percent should be other people's content. The reason you want to do it this way is because you don't want to come off as self promoting. This is a turn off for people and they will not follow you. So you definitely want to do it the correct way. One more thing to say, you can generate leads by tweeting at least two capture pages per day. Remember make your message a great one. Twitter is a viral platform and very beneficial if you take the time to learn the correct way to use it.

 

 
Now as for Facebook and Linkedin, here's where you want to change it up a bit.

Why?


You want to schedule what you are sharing about three times in a day to these social and business sites. Facebook is a social site mainly and Linkedin is where you can meet other business people.

A social site is just that, it's used primarily for socializing, getting to know people that you have added. You surely don't want to be posting no more that 3 status updates for your friends to see, especially if you don't really know them that well. What you should post is something to catch your friends attention so that you can get some interaction going on. When they see your post, and they make a comment on your status then this is a good way to start communicating with them.

As for Linkedin, this site can really be a benefit for your business because you can meet a lot of potential partners and clients here. So the information that you want to share here should be business related, you could share a great internet marketing tool or lead and traffic generation. Just as long as the information that you are sharing is beneficial to improve their business. This is what will interest the connections that you make on Linkedin.

I usually set my tweets in the evening to go out the next day (I begin my tweets in the morning) because this is The Slight Edge, if someone likes the information that you are sharing, they will be waiting to see more from you because this is the time they are online. Once you find a good schedule where you are getting followers daily then you should stick with it. Now be sure and follow them back so that you can see what they are tweeting. This is how you will learn about the person who you are following and the reason you are scheduling your tweets in the first place. Your goal is to make a connection so that you can meet and get know people.

Improve Search Engine Rankings - You Can Do It, When YOU Learn How. It's Easy As 1-2-3!

That's right. All YOU need to do is take the time and learn how. That is what I am about to tell you in this post. It is quite easy to get indexing, and it is easy to get ranking when you know what to do in the beginning. By taking the time to learn this one skill, it will get you TOP search engine rankings and increase traffic to your website allowing you to make money online.

Many people make the mistake in thinking that being indexed on the first page of Google is good. This is great news, and here's my point I want to drive home to you.

ARE THE KEYWORDS YOU CHOSE BEING SEARCHED IN THE SEARCH ENGINES?
Answer: If they are not being searched for then odds are slim and none of you getting any search engine traffic. You will have to rely on using sites like Facebook and Twitter to get traffic to your website. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing wrong with that but it's not so great knowing that you're not getting search engine traffic. You do want to retire and enjoy life, then you must learn this skill now.

That is what I will be sharing with you and how to find those keywords that will get you the TARGETED WEBSITE VISITORS!

FREE KEYWORD RESEARCH TOOL

There are several ways to find your keywords in your niche so that you can make your selection of the appropriate words to get you the desired results from the search engines. Your website or blogs must be optimized, and what that means, you want to make it very easy for the search engines to find, index and rank your site. This is referred to as search engine optimization (SEO). If you're a total newbie, then I will do my very best to give this information to you in an understandable way. I want you to get this so that you will have success and make money online. You need search engine traffic, and you are about to learn how to do it here and now.

Let's begin with the keywords I have chosen to write this post. My first keyword is "Improve search engine rankings" and the reason why I chose this word is because it has 119 daily searches and the competing websites is 3,940,000. You might say that is a lot of websites, it is and it will take work to get it ranked to the number one spot in Google and the search engines but it is well worth it, and I do love a challenge. How did I do the research on finding this keyword, as I said before there are many ways of doing this.

1. You can go to Google and type in a word in the search bar and there you will find the number of results for that word. This is the competition for that keyword, and you normally want to start out with a smaller number then what I have chosen (using a range of 500 to 2,000 results would be suitable until you get it ranked number one).

2. You can use a free keyword research tool that I like to use called "freekeywords.wordtracker.com" it will give you the number of searches being done on the word you are trying to get ranked for.

3. Keyword research software is another way of getting the data you need in choosing the keywords, you can find software on the internet or I encourage you to use the FREE version of Traffic Travis. I find that it gives great results because it tells you the daily search volume for your chosen keyword and you can make your decision based on what you find out when you go to Google and check the competition.

4. When you have done the steps above, it is now time to get busy writing your content for your website or blog. Keeping in mind that you will want to have your keyword in the title, and in the body at the beginning and at the end (no more than 2 to 3 times is sufficient) YOU DON'T WANT TO OVERDO BECAUSE THE SEARCH ENGINES WILL SEE THIS AS SPAM AND PROBABLY BURY YOUR WEBSITE AND IT WON'T GET INDEXED OR RANKED!
Make your content informative and valuable to the many readers that will be coming to your site when you do it correctly. I have given you the BEST plan for success with SEO (search engine optimization.

5. BACKLINKS The next thing is getting backlinks to your site. So what are backlinks? This is what tells the search engines that your website or blog exist, and is worth indexing and ranking. In simpler language, links that point back to your site. Google doesn't follow all links and give weight to them. Some sites have what is called a NoFollow. A NoFollow link tells Google not to follow links on their page.

Dofollow links gives your site weighting, and they get counted and it passes 'link juice' onto your site and it gets ranked better.

How do you get these backlinks so you can tell Google and the search engines about your website or blog? It's really simple, and I am going to hip you to a cool tool I have been using for a while now and getting great results and it's FREE. When you are ready to tell the world about your site, then you simply submit it to a site called Socialmonkee. YOU see that banner on the left, simply sign up and get your free account and get busy submitting your site to the social bookmarking sites. Don't know what a social bookmarking site is? Not much to say about it, the name is self explanatory. By submitting your sites to the social bookmarking sites will give you the backlinks you need to tell Google and all the search engines about your site(s). The more backlinks you get, the faster you will get indexed and ranked. Well I believe I have covered it all and I want to offer my assistance to you if there is anything that is unclear to you.
